SINGING HELPS STROKE VICTIMS

Folks trying to regain speech after a serious stroke, do it better if they sing their words rather than speaking them. that's the view of Harvard Medical School associate professor of neurology Gottfried Schlaug, who found that two thirds of stroke patients expanded their vocabulary more quickly by having music intonation therapy ( MIT ). Typically, Patients have daily 90 minutes sessions, and may need therapy for years, but the benefits are usually permanent.
